United By God's Grace: Loving And Serving ALL In Christ's Name
We welcome our new rector: Brian Stankich
Brian and his wife, Dona, have three grown sons and three grandchildren. Brian grew up in Northwest Indiana, and his favorite place to live has been Denver; however, Florida has become his home. Dona was born in Mississippi and moved around the country.
They served in missions in Macedonia and Egypt, doing church planting and leadership. More recently, Brian’s missions ministry included missionary care, training, and financial administration. Brian worked in the banking industry, and Dona in auto insurance, before their ministry years. They joined the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke in Orlando in 2019, and Brian sensed a call to the priesthood in 2021. Brian served as Associate Rector at Grace Episcopal Church in Ocala, Florida, for two years, as part of the Residency Program.
Brian likes drinking dark roast coffee, porter beers, and red wines. He values doing theology. He enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and disc golf. His favorite thing to do is hang out with people and mutually share life.
Who We Are
Our mission is to gather through worship and fellowship to serve Jesus. Our church believes in the merit of a united community, dedicated to serving God. Ever since we started in 1996, we have been a place for spiritual guidance and support. We treasure our members and offer them a place to live their faith to the fullest. What makes our bond so powerful is our love for God and Christ’s teachings. We are a diverse celebration of life and God’s word in action. Everyone willing to embrace spiritual growth and a sense of community is welcome to attend our church. At the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, we are committed to spreading the word of God through our community gatherings and actions. We have partnered with the Boy Scouts of America, local schools, and community organizations to help people. Love is at the core of what we do, and our love and faith in Christ have allowed us to become a vital pillar in our community.
We Are Nativity!
We are the Nativity Family, united by God’s grace. Our unity comes not from where we are from, the color of our skin, or what we have done in the past. Our unity comes from the God who first loved us. A God who loved us enough to send Jesus to live, die and rise again for us. This awesome God loved each of us so much that he sought us out and brought us here to be a part of this family. When the world is hard, lonely and scary, Church of the Nativity serves as an oasis. We are a place that exists to connect other people to God’s love for them. You don’t have to believe in this God yet to be welcome here. All you have to do is hope that this might be true. Come experience the love God has for you. Connect and fall in love with the God who loves you, and together we can spread that love by serving the community of Port St. Lucie and the world, in Christ’s name.

A Message from Father Brian
I am grateful you have visited our website. As you can see, it is in a bit of transition. So is Church of the Nativity. We are in a new season and seeking the Lord for his plan and purposes. I am hopeful, expectantly so, that he will be glorified in our church and magnified in our community. If you are looking for a church home in Port St. Lucie, I would value the opportunity to talk with you. If you are looking for God, or rather, if you sense that God is looking for you, come and worship and find the Lord who made you and gone out of his way to reveal himself to you. The best way to contact me is at brian@nativitypsl.com. Better yet: come to worship at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. and introduce yourself to me. I’ll be the guy wearing all the fancy looking garb!
